The Ontario Bar Association’s Entertainment, Media and Communications Law Section is hosting the 2012 edition of its Half-Day Conference on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, with the program running from noon until 5pm.  Featuring a keynote address from Bernie Finkelstein (Founder of True North Records), and panels offering updates on the Supreme Court of Canada’s Copyright Pentalogy decisions, a primer on music licensing in the digital era and a round-table discussion on cultivating the in-house/external counsel relationship, the conference promises to be a resounding way to kick off the programming year for the EM&C Section.

Further details and registration information for the event is available here.  (Disclosure: I’m currently the Chair of the EM&C Section executive committee.)
