We’re thrilled to welcome Catharine Piccioli as Business Affairs Specialist to support our Media and Entertainment group. Based in Toronto – though recognized by many clients across Canada – Catharine will work closely with all members of our national group to support our creative clients and production companies. Unique to Dentons in the Canadian Media and Entertainment space, this role provides a strategic advantage for Dentons clients when dealing with production-related legal and business affairs matters across all types of media content, including film, television and visual effects.

Catharine brings more than two decades of business affairs and legal experience, serving at various notable film and television production companies and broadcasters throughout her career. She is well-versed in tax credits, funding agencies, unions and guilds, co-productions and all business and legal aspects from development to distribution for dramatic, documentary and reality/lifestyle programming.

During the pandemic, Catharine has become an expert baker and cake decorator, a licensed private investigator in Ontario and has rediscovered her childhood love of drawing and painting.

Welcome, Catharine!
